CX Down Under - 2020 Awards

With all state and regional series now wrapped up across Australia and New Zealand, we’re announcing our end of year awards for 2020!

We’ve got two categories: Volunteer of the Year and Dog of the Year.

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

Nigel Nosering2.jpg

2020's been a hard year for all of us, including in the cyclocross community. In the absence of officially sanctioned national championships, we want an opportunity to recognise the volunteers who make our sport run.

The winning human will receive a $50 voucher to Cyclocross Minded Australia - an importer of the finest cyclocross gear (including toe spikes, brushes, tubeless valves and tubular tape), and proudly run by a member of the Aussie 'cross community. You can see their range at: https://www.cxminded.cc/

Eligibility: We love everyone who volunteers their time to ensure that cross races happen, but for this award we're looking to focus on someone who's contributed to CX racing in 2020 (sorry Victorians).

Voting is open until midnight on Friday October 30th.

We're looking for the very best boy or girl in all of cyclocross in Australia and New Zealand. The winning dog will receive a $50 voucher to Ekaj Handmade - a maker of handmade, high quality accessories for dogs and humans, run by a member of the Aussie 'cross community. You can see their range at: https://www.ekajhandmade.com/

Eligibility: All dogs that have visited a cross race will count, with preference given to shots taken at CX races in 2020. As a result, shots of dogs who are clearly at a cross race will be preferred (i.e. shots with riders or course tape in the background).
