Last Saturday November 27th VOGA Cycling Club hosted Cross 4 A Cause.
The afternoon and evening of informal racing was held at Hammon Park in Creswick, under much drier conditions than the two very wet and muddy rounds of the Victorian State CX Series held there in early June.
As the Cross 4 A Cause name would imply, the event was also a fundraiser, with proceeds from entries and raffles on the day being donated to MND Victoria.
The Cross 4 A Cause event had been planned as an end-of-season event, but had to be rescheduled from its original September date on multiple occasions – firstly pushed back to October as a result of Victoria’s COVID-19 lockdowns, then to November as part of VOGA’s bid to host the Australian National Cyclocross Championships.
When the National Championships had to be cancelled due to interstate travel restrictions, there was some small consolation: Cross 4 A Cause would still go ahead on Saturday November 27th.
What follows is a photo gallery from a day that was nowhere near as serious as a National Championships, but all the better for it.
