Worlds Watch - Finn Kane

Welcome to Worlds Watch! The 2024 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships are fast approaching, and Australia will be sending its biggest ever team to the Czech city of Tábor to compete.

To help you get to know the members of the team who’ll be racing for the rainbow bands, we’ll be profiling each of the riders competing over the next week.

Our fourth rider profile is Finn Kane, a New South Welshman who’ll be racing in the Men’s U23 world championship on Saturday February 3rd.

Have you raced at Worlds before?

First time at Worlds.

How are you feeling heading into worlds?

Excited to be representing Australia, but also realistic about what's achievable from the back of the grid.

Tell us about your prep for worlds!

Flew straight to Belgium after Road Nats, based at the Flandrien Hotel with most of the Aussie Team, racing every weekend at events ranging from C2 up to WC.

What are you hoping to get out of your worlds experience?

To gain knowledge of how to race at such a high level, And to understand how the Belgium's go about the business of racing CX and to use this experience to build on in the future.

How do we spot you on course?

In non-world championship races I will be in the yellow & black kit of my new team Criterion Racing, and in the world championships, an Aussie kit with White Bike & Helmet.
