Dirty Docker 2024

From the event website:

Cross Vegas is a CycloCross off-road event. It is run over a technical course featuring grass, mud, sand and obstacles – all on a bike that’s not too far from a road bike.

BOOK TICKETS HERE!

DISTANCE: 2km
MEN’S: 25min + 1 lap
WOMEN’S: 20min + 1 lap
NEWCOMERS MEN & WOMEN: 15min + 1 lap
KIDS: 800m, 5 laps

$30 - EARLY BIRD

The course will be a lap of ~2km starting in the centre of the Fiesta Village and then looping around Lancefield Park, combining some of the unique natural features of the surrounding landscape.

Depending on which race you decide on, you will complete several laps before finishing back in the Fiesta Village.

The best thing about Cyclo-Cross is that it’s fun. This will not be an officially sanctioned race, but closer to an exhibition where it’s all about getting you involved. It’s traffic-free and safe for kids, so it is a great place to bring the little ones and get them started.

This is a great chance to get stuck into a new and exciting CX race, or just to have a go at CX in the newcomer’s category if you haven’t already raced.

If you have a bike, bring it along and give it a try. It doesn’t matter if you bring a CX, gravel or MTB as long as you bring the good vibes!

How to get there:

3. Gregory Terrace (near Centenary Pool) is directly across from the venue and easily accessible by the bikeway over the Inner City Bypass (less than 1km)

BY BIKE

From the south
Travel to the CBD and onto Roma Street Parkland. Take the bikeway at the corner of Parkland Blvd and Parkland Cres towards Herston. Follow the signs to Victoria Park (approx. 2km).

From the north Get to the Enoggera Creek Bikeway. Take the bridge near Noble St over the creek and ride along Aberleigh Rd towards Herston Road. Follow the bikeway signs towards the city. Exit the bikeway when it crosses the end of Gilchrist Avenue.

How to get there:

BY CAR

Parking is only offered on street and here are some useful tips
1. Do not park at the function centre (off of Herston Road). The venue has made it clear that we are not to use this car park. Plus it’s not close to the start
2. Gilchrist Avenue will bring you closest to the race start but on street parking is limited.
