Between the Tape Pre-Nationals Update - Frankie Revell

It’s almost time for the Aotearoa Crossfest - where New Zealand’s cyclocross champions will be crowned for 2022!

With a big weekend of racing ahead, we spoke to Between The Tape rider Frankie Revell about the prospect of racing a national championship in his native Christchurch.

I’m feeling very confident going into nationals. My racing has been going really well recently.

[Ed: Frankie’s being a little modest here - he recently won his U15 age category at the South Island Schools CX Championships.]

How are you feeling heading into Nationals? How has your racing been going recently?

What are your expectations for this weekend, and what sort of result are you hoping for?

I’m hoping to win my age category (U15) on Sunday.

Good luck for this weekend - how can folks spot you out on course on the day?

  • I wear a black helmet

  • I’m 160 cm

  • I wear a black Lighthouse Brewing Co skinsuit.

Be sure to give Frankie a big cheer if you see him at Aotearoa Crossfest this weekend!
